Registration FAQs

This online portal is currently a demonstration prototype for enterprise enumeration and onboarding. Completing this demonstration registration allows the Council to map business locations, understand technical needs, and notify businesses when formal statutory programs and support interventions launch.

No. The demonstration registration and business mapping on the SMEC portal is 100% free of charge. The Council does not collect cash or application fees through third parties.

Basic information about your enterprise (business name, address, sector, LGA, contact person) is all that is required. If you already have a CAC Business Name certificate, TIN, or utility bill, you can upload demo copies during the supporting documents step.
